Social Media Analysis
As well as creating content, I am an expert in analysing it, having spent ten years in media monitoring and evaluation – the last four as a social media specialist. I developed an award-winning analysis product for Durrants, the UK’s leading media planning, monitoring and evaluation agency, before moving into an Account Director-level buzz monitoring role at GroupM company Mindshare.
Now I offer insights into the online conversation in reports and corporate blog posts for a range of agencies and end-clients, including Durrants, Market Sentinel and Press Index. Since I took over the Press Index UK blog, visits have increased by 400%, with 20% of this traffic consisting of first-time visitors to the Press Index website. This strategy has resulted in a 70% increase in newsletter subscriptions, making social the company’s most effective marketing channel.
